Fear God alone. Trust Him to do as He's promised.
It is good to know who you are working for. When that someone is someone else or yourself the end product will always include discontent. Recognizing His power, His perfect plan, His direction that can be submitted to despite our lack of understanding, results in His being the one to carry the burden for certain choices.
If we have to deliberate our motivations and more, then there is no untouched sleep. Even being hurt doesn't have to be internalized if we know that the forward march is directed by Him and that our bottom line effort is submission to His will. No one else can be the goal, set the goal, or provide the necessary resources to stay the course.
Fear the Lord and Him alone and when you settle down at night and your mind plays over the days events your mind can be put in check and peace can ensue. Evil cannot win against God but evil can have a lasting impact against a person who is doing the walking in his or her own strength. There is also a temporal Victory where arrogance or ignorantly seeking a furtherance of relationship with another yields a sort of peace as we settle down thinking about today's victories.
We make ourselves comfortable with failure claiming our diagnosis or villainizing another party or ourselves. We feel vindicated because we justify the outcome. These methods are temporary and evil is actively having victories. The ONLY real victory is to submit to the Lord and be born again and faithful over whatever circumstance, trusting He is working His plan to it's betterment. That will function as a shield and portion that facilitates a rest that comes at physical dormancy and serves as a testimony to the one whom we serve. Saying, He's got this, becomes a simple victory that calms bewilderment and makes struggling to comprehend obsolete. Have peace at rest. Fear the Lord alone.
